Planning a few days in Gerês seems simple until you start finding places you want to visit, restaurants where you would like to stop and that waterfall you do not want to miss.

We created the TOPGERES Trip Plan precisely to make organising all this easier.
The idea is straightforward: as you explore TOPGERES.com, you can save the places and restaurants that interest you, then organise them across the different days of your trip.
No spreadsheets. No copying names from one place to another. And no need to decide straight away which day you will visit each place.
Choose first. Organise later.
Everything you add to your Trip Plan starts in the “Unorganized” section.
It is a meeting point for everything that has caught your attention: a waterfall, a viewpoint, a village, a river beach or a restaurant where you would like to try the region’s food.
At this stage, you do not need to make any other decisions. Simply build your selection as you explore TOPGERES.
When you are ready to start putting your trip together, you can create the days you need using the “+ Add Day” button.
Day 1, Day 2, Day 3… the plan grows with you and the length of your trip.
Choose a day for each place
Organising your items is just as simple.
In “Unorganized”, each place or restaurant has an “Add to a day” option. Open the selector to see the days you have already created.
Choose a destination and TOPGERES puts that item in the corresponding day.
You do not need to build the perfect itinerary on your first attempt. The plan is designed to let you try different arrangements as your trip starts to take shape.
Places and restaurants in the same plan
This is one of the system’s most useful features.
The Trip Plan does not artificially separate things that naturally go together when you travel.
In a single day, for example, you can include a waterfall to visit in the morning, another place to discover in the afternoon and a restaurant where you would like to end the day.
That is why Places and Restaurants can be part of the same Day.
The image shows exactly this: places such as Fecha de Barjas, Poço Verde and Ponte da Mizarela share the plan with restaurants such as Cantinho do Antigamente and Turismo.
It is a much closer reflection of how we actually travel.
Changed your mind? Change the plan.
A trip plan should not be tied to your first choices.
After distributing items across your days, you can keep reorganising them, change their order or move them to another day. A place can also return to “Unorganized” while you decide where it fits best.
The aim is not for TOPGERES to decide your trip for you.
It is to give you a simple tool for building your own trip, at your own pace and around what you really want to discover.
Start exploring. Your plan comes with you.
The Trip Plan is integrated into the TOPGERES experience.
So you do not need to start by creating a complete itinerary. You can do the opposite: explore first and decide later.
Find places that spark your curiosity. Discover restaurants. Add them to your plan. And once you have a good selection, start distributing them across your days.
Little by little, what began as a list of interesting places becomes the plan for your next trip to Gerês.
